The burgeoning Urban Population has put an enormous strain on the urban area’s infrastructure resulting in high gap in the provision of infrastructure services. The development of infrastructure has not been able to match pace with the increasing population, often as a result of inadequate availability of finance and due to delays and further inefficient service delivery. Recognizing the role of urban infrastructure in the growth of the national economy, the government plans to develop the urban infrastructure in partnership with private parties.
